Fear Motivates Me

Age has finally gotten my attention. Like you, my life has been a mixture of great and not so great experiences. In my 50’s during one of my not so great periods, I felt fear over leaving this earth as a feeble and forgotten old man. I felt old and was getting older at a very fast pace. Fear motivated me to find a way to slow my weakened state.  After many hours of research I learned that my lifestyle was the one varible that could slow or improve my condition. Like all species, science tells us that our bodys are built to survive. My lifestyle can contribute how well my body will fare through the aging process. I am a human animal, and if I feed the beast in me, I too can live a longer and productive life.

My fitness is a process that never ends. Time does not stop or slow down for anyone or anything. My body ages continuously and requires me to adapt to the changes that occur within me. However there are some constants which you cannot ignore. Strength and muscle composition will greatly improve your quality of life as you age.

By preserving my stength, I am enjoying the benefits of good health. I can give energy and focus to my family and friends. My insecurites and neediness are dimished allowing me to contribute physically and preseve my legacy. Every elder has their own achievments, experiences and wisdom which is unique. This knowlege should be demonstrated to those we love, respect and mentor. Being fit affords you more quality time to teach and show what gifts you have aquired at your age. Showing up is a requirement to gain respect but if you can't get up from the sofa your legacy could go unrealized or forgotten.

Join me as you navigate the ups and downs of transitioning into an Elder-Beast. I will be writing and demonstrating my experiences to share my legacy of strength to all that can benefit. Never forget that you and your experiences have immense value and should be preserved.
